  28. This distribution contains Voodoo drivers and control panel for 
  29. Windows 2000. The DirectDraw portion of the drivers supports Direct3D 
  30. when using DirectX 7.0

  39. - Windows 2000
  40. - PC with a Pentium, Pentium II, or Pentium Pro Processor and a free 
  41.   AGP or PCI slot
  42. - 16MB of RAM

  44. Fresh Installation 
  45. ------------------

  47. NOTE: Complete Steps 1 and 2 before removing your existing 2D card.
  48.  
  49. 1) Download the kit to a directory on your local machine.
  50. 2) Before removing your existing 2D card switch the video driver to 
  51.    Standard VGA. Click Start, Control Panel. Double-click on Display.
  52.  
  53.    Select 640X480 and 16 colors.  Accept the changes.
  54.  
  55. 3) Power off the system and remove your existing 2D card.
  56. 4) Install the Voodoo Card in a free AGP or PCI Slot
  57. 5) Power on the system and verify that video appears during post.
  58. 6) Start Windows in Normal mode
  59.  
  60.   (Once Windows starts you may be notified that no video device
  61.    exists, click Cancel if this message appears)
  62.  
  63. 7) Run the 3dfx executable from the location it was downloaded to.  Click SETUP.  
  64.    At the welcome screen of 3dfx Tools select NEXT.  Click on YES when prompted 
  65.    to install Voodoo Driver.
  66. 8) Follow instruction on the screen to install Voodoo Driver and 3dfx Tools
  67.    Control Panel.
  68. 9) Select 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now' when prompted.

  71. Upgrade Existing Voodoo Drivers

  74. 1) Start Windows 2000
  75. 2) Download the kit to a directory on your local machine.
  76. 3) Open the directory where the kit has been placed and double-click on the 
  77.    executable.  Click SETUP.  At the welcome screen of 3dfx Tools,
  78.    select NEXT.  Click on YES when prompt to install Voodoo Driver.
  79. 4) Follow instruction on the screen to install Voodoo Driver and 3dfx Tools
  80.    Control Panel.
  81. 5) Select 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now' when prompted.
